26.2

I did it! I crossed the finishline in 3hr 57min!! So goal number one: run a marathon and goal number two: run it in under 4hrs, both successful!! I didn't qualify for Boston, but Jen did!!!! Yay!! At least I have a great excuse to go cheer someone on in Boston next year!

This course was beautiful!! The only thing I regret was not having a camera on me. Aside from getting up a 4am everything about this course was fabulous. We got bused most of the way up and into Ogden canyon where Jen and I sent time waitting in line for the bathrooms and staying warm next to the fire pit. The weather was perfect, the morning a mear 35-40 degrees but warming up nicely to the low 70s by the time I was finishing!

More later but now Jen and I are off to Park City for a little pampering and sightseeing.

The desert?!?!

I've made it to Utah!!! Actually had no problems with my flight changes, everything was right on time. I did have a moment in Arizona when I thought I was going to miss my flight to Salt Lake....but no one else seemed panicked, because as the flight attendant finally explained Arizona doesn't use day lights saving time!

So three flights and three time zones later I'm here!! I took the opportunity to start touring right away and we headed for downtown Salt Lake. The tulips and flowers were amazing!!! They have almost an entire city block filled with them. And I thought I was going to the desert. We had to jump between rain drops, Jen said that the weather has been ridiculously rainy for Utah. But not to worry the forecast for this weekend looks gorgeous!

Alright, I don't want to waste today's sunshine, so Lindenburgh and I are off on our first adventure to see Little Cottonwood Canyon, right near Jen's apartment. I'll have to try and post pictures later, it's beautiful out here!

Last day of work before vacation!

So Diana helped me set up this wonderful blog, before heading off on my big adventure to Utah (the furthest west I've ever been) to run my first marathon!!

Diana also helped me to set up a twitter account which will hopefully provide updates along the maraton route!

My flight leaves tomorrow morning at 8am, bright and early! I'm looking forward to relaxing on three different planes, I don't make anything easy. Thanks to Nikki I have some light reading to enjoy.

I need to head home and finish packing, I'm sure you are all shocked to know that I haven't finished packing yet :-) A little different than packing suits for NJ....let vacation begin!!
